Back in the US of A!
Dear Friends and Family,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am finally back in the US to stay (well, we all know I get bored quickly but hopefully for awhile right)....just flew in to North Carolina about a week ago for my family beach reunion. I am truly sorry that I did not make the effort to write on my blog for practically the last six months of my service in Guatemala...I know I will regret this one day. Such a shame, cause the crazy stories just kept on rollin'. Fortunately, I was extremely busy during the last part of my service, trying to finish up projects and just tie everything up. The last 6 months were incredible and it was particularly hard to leave a country that I had completely fallen in love with. It's hard to say that I am happy to be back in the US, cause I am still thinking about who and what I left behind....but it's wonderful to be back with the ones I love here! I will try and post some pictures soon of the last couple of weeks in-country...I had quite a few goodbye parties with the townsfolk in Nahuala. These people, this culture, will always be in my heart.
I will be in Greensboro, NC for awhile, hanging out with mom and dad, and traveling to see friends and family. The job search is inevitable...but I am in no rush at this point...just want to enjoy being home!!
Hope to see some of you real soon!! Love you all and thanks for being so supportive during my service. Your encouragement and kind words were more uplifting than you realize...
